Sunday drivers ! The valley widens out now as we approach Lake Constance. Lots of family’s out on their bikesThis little girl is 5 and she was explaining to me as they PASSED us that mummy was taking them to see the airplanes . Mum told me that it was only 11kms from home and they did it most weekends (22 km ride ? That’s what good cycleways do )
We’ve decided to take the northern route around Lake Constance . It’s a day or two further but is the Austrian and German riviera and is supposed to be pretty
I’ve never been in bike traffic jams before.
You can’t stop concentrating for a moment or you’ll have a prang. We found ourselves a bit of beach and read our books for a couple of hours . We’re now in a Gasthaus in Bregenz overlooking the lake. Still in Austria but their coastline is only short and the next town tomorrow, Lindau, will be in Germany. The internet connection is terrible at present so I can’t upload any more photos today
