We had another stroll around Delft this morning as we didn’t have to get going until 11am
The stall holders carry their stuff around on these beasts
I just had to know how he got his mast up. It uses a large hydraulic ram. I loved his mode of transport too. A vintage BSA
Saddling the steeds. This was one of the best value hotels on holiday and we all agreed Delft is a lovely city
This guy was cleaning drains but stopped to let us pass. It’s only just over 20kms to the Hook so it was a relaxing way to finish our Holland leg
After a swim in the ocean (crowds of holiday makers ) we still had a lot of time to fill in so we sat outside this cafe by the beach and pulled out the guitars
and entertained the huge crowd.
Finally ! 7.30 and it’s boarding time. The lady at the office upgraded Christine and myself to a large suite. ( she later admitted that she’d forgotten to charge me for our bikes, It was only €6 each so she let it go)
It’s an overnighter so we’ll wake up in Harwich. Peter and Jacqui are taking the bus to London and Ash will bike with us to Colchester.
