There’s very few people up and about at 6.30 , the forecast is for sun, 23 degrees, and a TAIL wind. Life is good !
By 7.00 the council workers had started work on this 2km section of track. That sand is soft so we pushed the whole way through
but boy oh boy ,the finished road is worth it. Signs along the way suggested that the EU is helping to fund this cycle way .
In many cases the bike trail was far better than the council road. All the concrete roads are cracked and bumpy.
and when I saw these contractors laying a drive I can understand why. Hand mixed out the back then pumped to the job, a very dry mix and only 3 inches thick. Go figure !
The Osieki fire station. I’m sure it’s just for show.
Nearby outside the church, we were the centre of attention with a class of school kids. Where are you from, where’s that, do you like Poland, where are you going, how old are you, ARE YOU MAD ?
Ice cream time at Bukowo Morskie. Just so we could use the toilets
Dabki. We’re back on the coast after going around a large lake. Lake Jezioro. Every coastal town has a side show it seems and dozens of seaside shops all selling the same rubbish.
I stopped to admire this collection outside a farm house when the owner came out and explained them all to me . All with hand signals and lots of machinery type noises ?
Same village, it may be just 20kms from the coast but there’s plenty to remind you of the old days here.
Darlkowo is only half an hour away now. It’s been an easy 72 km day because of these roads ( and the tail wind )
I have to mention our hotel/apartment ! It’s beautiful, big and a kitchen with everything a traveller could need . All for nz $44.00. Oh I do like Poland.
