Ustka

To get back on the bike route we followed the river to the sea and were then on an old railway line that ran between a lake and the sea. The red dotted lineThere’s a big fishing fleet here2 fishing boats returning from a nights work under the watchful eye of the Polish navyA bit rough to begin with. You can see the lake on the right. The wind is blowing strongly from behind. YES !At one point they were working on the track so we were directed onto the beach . That machine in the back is making piles for the groins they are repairingThe pile driver is straddling the groin while it works and that digger has been heightened so it can wade out to the end of the groin. These groins go all the way along the coast to protect the sand dunes .At that point the trail changed dramatically to the hot mix special again. Portaloos at each entrance to a beach so no shortage !the lighthouse at JaroslawiecHanna and Dorothy. They spoke good English so out came my list of questions again. ( we met up again in Ustka )Right, I’m full of useful information againPostominofor some reason EV10 wants to take us on a 5 km detour to see something important! Ok , we’ll trust you!saw a few old buildings, some very dusty roadsand these old fellows, but nothing worth an extra 5 kms. We reckon they were having a laugh.We rolled in to Ustka just after 2pm,having only done 58kms for the day. Found our appartement then after a shower went back in to town to enjoy a meal of their famous cod down on fisherman’s wharf. fish n chips and sauerkraut
