Agde

Well that was a bit strange. I blamed the phone but it could have been the late hour and the wine

It was a wonderful break in Sète with Gerard and Claudia. My French was stretched to the limits though, and we had funny conversations with Mr Google interpreting.
Gerard’s a master chef and his creation with the seche was amazing. Christine pigged out on the raw oysters

Today it’s predicted to rain a bit ! It’ll be the first time in a month for us so we’re not too concerned

This fabulous boulevard goes like this from Sète to Marseillan Plage
And yes we did get a few spots but nothing to concern us. At least it’s cooler now. Probably only 25degrees.
10 years ago we camped at this beach about halfway along. Stayed there 4 days until the Tour de France came past us. Free then,it’s a pay park now.! While I was searching for an English camper hoping to bludge a book off them, the mobile bread van came along with his baguettes and pastries
A 17th century version of a gun emplacement. Built to keep the English out . Just looking over the fence into the camp ground behind me, it obviously didn’t work
There needs to be a book on French roundabout art. This one shows the Agde jousting tradition
Agde. We haven’t come far but the rest is helping Christines knee
We went down to the unusual Agde round lock to watch the boat movements. The gate on the right heads to the town basin on the Hérault river, the one on the far side heads to the Hérault also but above the dam , the gate in the foreground leads into the midi canal which we’ll be following tomorrow towards Béziers
