London? What the hell are you doing in London, that wasn’t on the plan ! 🧐 Well , after a comfortable trip from Singapore ( brilliant seats) we had an 11 hour wait at Heathrow for our last short flight to Prague. After waiting 10 of those tedious hours, British airways informed us the flight was canceled. That and another to Stuttgart. There was a mad rush to the service desk where we were told if they could get us on a flight the NEXT day, they would inform us by email, otherwise go into their website and rebook. ALSO ,all their prearranged hotel rooms were taken so we would have to make our own arrangements . Anyway, I found one in Wraybury, not far away . Not far as the crow flies but it was still $100 taxi ride !oh well, we felt like a break and they SAID they would compensate us. ( the reason for the delay the official informed a very angry group of us, was the threat of severe thunderstorms. I don’t think they looked outside as the weather was beautiful)
When we checked in I found that British airlines had already given us seats so now I have to get reimbursed for that as well. They just forgot to tell us . Now if this doesn’t sound like it could get any worse ! Hey, they’ve left our bikes back in Heathrow.
Never mind, we want to go see the old city on the tram tomorrow so it’s not a problem.
