Brambach

Before we could get going I had to retrieve the bikes from the cellar. There were a couple of E-bikes down there that must have been a mission to bring up

Getting out of town is sometimes the most difficult part. 5 kms out we realised we had left our caps behind but there was no way we were going back
Cutting hay on the side of a recevoir. He was a brave man !
When we passed this old mill I realised we had come this way before. Just before covid on our trip around the Baltic, the route to Berlin passed through this area. What I didn’t notice last time though was the generator on the end of the shaft. He’s making his own electricity
Coswig for coffee and a very ordinary crepe.
Also the town where our way was blocked by a mean looking motorbike gang

It’s a moped club and the only requirement is that your bike must be no more than 50ccThey were on a safari !

The route gets a bit tricky at one point and the chap that lives here must have got sick of people asking him how to cross the river so he drew a map on the wall outside his house

Thanks mate

The route now takes us through about 10km of forest
And I realise that this was also on our last route. I’m sure I have a photo of this old gatehouse from the other side.

It was part of a large park owned by the gentry of the area. Around 1770

In the middle of it all was this Pension and cafe called the Forsthaus ( forest house ) my phone needed charging so we had a cup of tea here
Another folly. Not sure why you’d want a covered bridge out here
The trail was getting difficult to follow so I had to ask our way more than once.
Finally we came across the ferry. It was difficult to find our way down to it. I think the hôtel own it ,as it was free.
Man is definitely a dogs best friend. Lazy little beggar
Such a nice way to turn up to your hotel. The accomodation is the building on the right. The other is the restaurant
