Bremerhaven

It’s only 50km to Bremerhaven and I’ve booked an apartment for 2 nights there . We want to spend Sunday going through the emigration records at the excellent museum there

The tide was dead low as we left town. You can see water here because that’s the shipping Chanel , but looking around to our left I could not see the water at all. It was so far out
For 5km we followed another old railway line. After that the bikeway wondered all over the place and was beginning to annoy us
So by Altenworlde we found highway 73 again and decided to stick with it. It’s a national road but more for local traffic so not too busy. More importantly it had an excellent path beside it for cyclists
This guy must have been speeding and was being issued a ticket . I had my camera out taking a shot when that cop on the left leapt out in front of me and shouted “ STOP NOW !”

He gave me a warning for using a mobile device while cycling and said I was lucky because they usually issue a ticket

Nordholtz. There’s an airfield here and a museum. Closed of course and I wasn’t going to wait an hour for it to open
I do like how people put things on the side of the road just for the enjoyment of passing cyclists
Lunchtime. Who knows where !
He was taking an old lounge suite out and putting a new one in
Hafen 12 appartements. Yes a bit of a shock from the outside but we’re really quite pleased with the flat itself. AND it’s really close to the museum and waterfront.

Time to put our feet up and watch the last stages of the Tour de France

Christine insisted I put this in to show how much I enjoy it
