There’s this mate back in New Zealand who says I’m not to mention the good weather and warm temperatures all the time. It’s annoying him😤

Well, today’s for you Ash ! Drizzled all day

Bon Soujour hôtel. When we came out it was starting to spit so I put my coat on for the first time.
The canal was just 200 metres away. I bet this boat took some lifting out. I thought they’d dry dock the big ones
We are off the Marne lateral now and oh boy what a come down
I’m getting VERY clear instructions to get off this and find a road
Pargny sur saulx. We found the D924 running parallel to the canal, not too busy and a tail wind helped make up for the constant drizzle
A bar was open for a cuppa. They didn’t have food though so the barmaid told me to bring some back from the Patisserie over the road. Very typical thing to do here.
Only one awning in the whole town. We waited a while for the rain to die down
The empty market place in Surmaize-sur-Bains. It’s eased off now and we’re already wet so we press on
Andernay. It would look bleak even on a sunny day
Ok only one more town to go. Those legging I threw in the bin . Worse than useless
Revigny-sur-Ornain. This guy was servicing a pizza distributor. I was amazed so he opened it up for me and showed me how it works
Incredible! It makes the whole thing with a choice of about 15 toppings.

The weathers looking good again from tomorrow ( sorry Ash ) so we’ll get down to where the Marne -Rhein turns east again ( circled )
