Lazy day

Another thing ticked off my bucket list. We’ve now lived in a housing estate. It was ok but not a lot of privacy.
Main Street Saverne

I wanted that apartment for an extra night but it was already booked so I got another apartment next to the Rose gardens. More salubrious and closer to the city centre

Flowers everywhere and all watered by tractor power
Town square and the judo is next to the equestrian event
I’ve mentioned this in earlier blogs about the efforts of one man to put a bronze plaque out side every dwelling in Europe where a family was taken by the Nazis. We’ve come across several here so Saverne must have had its fair share of Jewish people
Our new apartment. See we’ve come up in the world. it’s next door to the city rose gardens
We’re just back from saying goodbye to our Aussie boating mates, over a few beers.

We’ve had enough rest so tomorrow we’ll follow the canal again
