Paris. Charles de Gaulle airport was welcoming Olympic teams so it was really slow getting through. Having oversized baggage we were one of the last to get out

The idea was to assemble the bikes and ride the 14kms to Juilly. Sensibly, we opted for a taxi and when we saw the busy road out and the light rain, we were very glad of it

L’abbaye du ferme. Huge and for the most part a bit shabby but the chambre doté itself was pretty cute

That was a bloody long day. Crashed into bed at 5.30 but now I’m awake at 1.30 in the morning trying to figure out how I used to send a blog
