Perth

The Plan. We will stop in Perth for a few days to visit our son Peter and grandson Eli ,then fly on to Prague. Train to the source of the Elbe which we will follow via Hamburg to the North Sea . We fly out of Amsterdam so will probably follow the coast through Friesland to there

We were due to fly out on Tuesday 6th of June but my doctor warned me of a cancerous growth next to my right eye that needed cutting out immediately so we had to move our flight to the next day.

Our friend and fellow yachtie Clive took us to Auckland airport for the first stage to Perth. Yes, only one bike at this stage, I have a bike in Perth with Peter which we’ll pick up and take on to Europe
Peter and Eli. Peter lives in the hills behind Perth but to make me feel at home, they have a yacht tied up in the back yard
So it’s been a break spent catching up on old friends before we catch our flight tomorrow morning. Firstly our friends Peter and Sue in Mandurah ,then a big hello to Ranvir, Sandeep and Armaan. Who were our tenants in Katikati for 10 years. They’ve only been in Perth for 2 and 1/2 years but have recently bought a beautiful house which they could only dream about owning in New Zealand .

It’s a bit of a marathon tomorrow, stopping in Singapore and London before finally arriving in Prague
