Vordingborg

Being a hostel you must strip your beds and tidy your room before you leave. They had a great kitchen so we made breakfast and got on the road by 6.30Vordingborg is 63 kms away and except for a slight curve half way the road is DEAD STRAIGHT. Bike path part of the way and the rest behind those heavy white lines. The harvesting machinery was out in force . We would always stop as they passed in case some idiot tried to pass them coming towards us. It’s an 80km limit on this road though so it all felt quite safe.We thought we might get in too early today so we had several stops for coffee and to read .( I’ve got a good book and Christines doing sudoku)another mile stone .not a lot to look at on a straight roadso we thought we would take a back road in to Vordingborg. Lovely. Except the damned thing did a huge loop then came out onto the straight road again a few kms further up. Oh well it was nice while it lasted Vordingborg. Not a big town but it was important enough to once have a big castleFor dinner tonight we had a Danish speciality Dyrelaegens natmad
